A trip to Denmark for the Jysk Veterantog tour from Padborg - Struer, and on to Germany for a TEE special from deep into Austria with a 103. A few days in Slovenia and Croatia with an afternoon west of Zidani Most with plenty of action!

Balkan Express to Kosovo

A trip to Kosovo from Germany on the IGE "Balkan Express" which was powered much of the way by former Danish Nohab MY 1125 in use with Eichholz and now wearing the super Sante Fe livery. Many photo stops and run pasts were all part of the trip

A week in Germany and Switzerland. A 103 hauled special train run by AKE Eisenbahntouristik was used to travel to Switzerland in style and many photos of this luxury special train were taken within Switzerland before our return to Germany

A two week visit to Mexico where we covered a lot of the lines then operated by passenger trains. Our main route was from Mexico City - Guadalajara - Nogales - Los Michos - Chihuahua - Torreon - Mexico City - Veracruz - Mexico City. We also visited did the Beristain branch on our first day and the trip to Veracruz was via different routes.

An Inter Rail starting by taking a 221 hauled special from Bochum to Hamburg, then to Amsterdam to and south to Austria. A trip to Mariazell on the narrow gauge with two 2095 locos on the weekend train. Then to Brennero and an afternoon at Colle Isarco in Italy and a morning at Brixlegg. In Switzerland a spell at Wassen and a busy morning at Pratteln near Basel and a short spell at Boxtel in Netherlands.

Started by going to Kars, then to Elazig, Adana, Eskisehir and back to Ankara, and a trip to Zonguldak where we lucky to find a DE21500 GE on a passenger train. In Greece a tour ran with A-302 & A-326 before a few days on the Peloponese during the Easter rush

A two week trip to Spain during Expo 92. Many trains in the Granada area were running with newly rebuilt 319.3 locos and refurbished series 8000 carriages. The highlight of the trip was a M_laga - Sevilla train running with a 333, the only time in many years of a diesel hauled train on this route

A five day trip to cover three new diesel workings in summer 1989. A 333 throughout from Canfranc - Madrid, a 333 from Valencia - Gandia, and a 319.2 on the "Valencia Expreso" from Madrid - Valencia via Cuenca. All of these were short lived workings!
